The National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers’ Shop Stewards in Mpumalanga have lauded the training workshop they received in May 2022.

Some of those who attended had glowing reviews, saying the training programme will assist them and members whom they represent in the workplace.

As an organisation, we understand that Shop Stewards play vital role in a unionised workplace. They are responsible for ensuring that the rights of workers are protected and that management adheres to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

They are the first person a member looks to for guidance, leadership, and help, and as such is a challenging and critical role. Shop stewards are a key resource to the union, and that’s why at the National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers, we strive to provide them with every piece of resource, to enable them to service workers with distinction.

In the first quarter of this year, NUPSAW held a training programme for the leadership of Gauteng and at the start of the second quarter of this year, that training workshop went to Mpumalanga.

Our in-house training facilitator (Educator) Simon Tshabalala is responsible for providing workshops.  On Friday, 04 June 2022, he will be training over 50 Shop Stewards in Limpopo.

There’s a roll-out programme in place for other provinces, and for information, contact your local provincial secretaries.
