Following Labour’s initial rejection of the 1.5% public sector wage increase including gratuity, the employer (Government) later tabled a revised offer of 2% across board and another option on a sliding scale (between 1.5%-3%). This offer was presented to Labour on 24 June 2022.
The National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW) would like to inform its members that the latest revised offer has been rejected. As Unions, we have remained firm on our demand for 10% wage increase on baseline.
The wage negotiations for the 2022/2023 financial year are still ongoing. The next sitting at the Public Service Co-ordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) is scheduled for 30 June 2022.
