Our scope of operation is in both the Public Service and Private Sector in the entire RSA with our Head Office situated at SUCCESS MATAITSANE House, 17 Iris Street, Heatherdale, Akasia Pretoria, 0182. NUPSAW is admitted to the Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) and to major sectoral bargaining councils in the Public Service. Our primary objective is to promote and protect the interest of our members, i.e. Workers First.<\/p>\n<p>VACANCY<br \/>\nPROVINCIAL ORGANISER<\/p>\n<p>At Gauteng Provincial Office<br \/>\nSALARY: R201,909.00 P\/A, Union vehicle, housing allowance,<br \/>\n13th cheque, voluntary medical aid and compulsory pension fund scheme<br \/>\nMAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:<br \/>\nTo recruit, organize and provide an effective service to members on all Labour related matters.<br \/>\nKEY RESULTS AREAS<br \/>\n\u2022 Recruitment of new members.<br \/>\n\u2022 Marketing of the Union to potential members both individually and in institutions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Servicing of existing members and advising them of their rights in terms of the relevant<br \/>\npieces of labour legislations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Set up and running of recruitment campaigns in the Province.<br \/>\n\u2022 Representing and assisting members in terms of grievances, unfair labour practices and<br \/>\nunfair dismissal disputes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage the Case Management systems.<br \/>\n\u2022 Establishing and maintaining of worker structures in branches and institutions<br \/>\n\u2022 Addressing individual and collective rights and interests of members<br \/>\n\u2022 Compiling accurate reports on recruitment, cases, and meetings of the Union<br \/>\n\u2022 Addressing individual and collective rights and interest issues for members.<br \/>\n\u2022 Administrative and professional support to the electorate structures of the union.<br \/>\nINHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB<br \/>\n\u2022 Three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Labour Relations,<br \/>\nor equivalent qualification with a minimum of 02 to 03 years\u2019 experience in Labour<br \/>\nRelations or Labour Law.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge and demonstrated interest in Trade Union movement, Bargaining Councils<br \/>\nand dispute resolution bodies including CCMA.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge and understanding of relevant Labour Legislation and the application of<br \/>\ncase law.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of collective agreements.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong organising skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge and experience in Trade Unions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to cope with a demanding workload.<br \/>\n\u2022 Flexibility to travel and work irregular and unfixed hours.<br \/>\nCompetencies:<br \/>\n\u2022 High level written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to multitask, plan and prioritize effectively.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to manage time and resources effectively.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong negotiation and influencing skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conflict resolution skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Computer literate with report writing skills.<br \/>\nSUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST<br \/>\n&#8211; Keep abreast of latest Labour Relations Developments.<br \/>\n&#8211; Be available on a short notice<br \/>\n&#8211; Be in possession of a valid driver\u2019s license.<br \/>\nDirections to Candidates:<br \/>\nApplicants should forward a letter of application, latest comprehensive CV and certified copies<br \/>\nof qualifications and ID document to:<br \/>\nThe General Secretary, National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW),:<br \/>\ngeneralsecretary@nupsaw.co.za, or fax same to 086 667 8362<br \/>\nApplicants please note:<br \/>\n\u2022 NUPSAW reserves the right not to make the appointment.<br \/>\n\u2022 The interview process is guided by the principles and objectives of Employment Equity<br \/>\nlegislation.<br \/>\n\u2022 A Six (06) month probationary period will apply.<br \/>\n\u2022 Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for an interview.<br \/>\n\u2022 If you are not contacted within fourteen (14) days of the closing date, kindly consider<br \/>\nyour application to be unsuccessful.<br \/>\n\u2022 NUPSAW will do criminal record and credit record checks before appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for applications: 09 March 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Union of Public Service and Allied workers (NUPSAW) is a union established in August 1998 in terms of the Labor Relations Act, 1995.
