{"id":164956,"date":"2026-01-12T10:28:04","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T08:28:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nupsaw.org.za\/?p=164956"},"modified":"2026-01-12T10:28:04","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T08:28:04","slug":"vacancy-provincial-organiser-12-months-fixed-term-contract-at-gauteng-regional-office-johannesburg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nupsaw.org.za\/index.php\/2026\/01\/12\/vacancy-provincial-organiser-12-months-fixed-term-contract-at-gauteng-regional-office-johannesburg\/","title":{"rendered":"VACANCY PROVINCIAL ORGANISER (12 Months Fixed Term Contract) At GAUTENG REGIONAL OFFICE (Johannesburg)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">VACANCY<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">PROVINCIAL ORGANISER (12 Months Fixed Term Contract) At GAUTENG REGIONAL OFFICE (Johannesburg)<br \/>\nSALARY: R234,421.32 P\/A, Union Vehicle and Housing allowance<\/p>\n<p>MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:<br \/>\nTo recruit, organize and provide an effective service to members on all labour-related matters.<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESULTS AREAS<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Recruitment of new members.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Marketing of the Union to potential members, both individually and in institutions.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Servicing of existing members and advising them of their rights in terms of the relevant pieces of labour legislation.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Set up and running of recruitment campaigns in the province.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Representing and assisting members in terms of grievances, unfair labour practices and unfair dismissal disputes.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Capture cases on the Case Management system.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Establishing and maintaining of worker structures in branches and institutions<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Addressing individual and collective rights and interests of members<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Compiling accurate reports on recruitment, cases, and meetings of the Union<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Addressing individual and collective rights and interest issues for members.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Administrative and professional support to the electoral structures of the union.<\/p>\n<p>INHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Labour Relations, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 2 to 3 years\u2019 experience in Labour Relations or Labour Law.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge and demonstrated interest in the Trade Union movement, Bargaining<br \/>\nCouncils and dispute resolution bodies including CCMA.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge and understanding of relevant Labour Legislation and the application of case law.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge of collective agreements.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Strong organising skills.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge and experience in Trade Unions.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to cope with a demanding workload.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Flexibility to travel and work irregular and unfixed hours.<\/p>\n<p>COMPETENCIES:<br \/>\n\uf0b7 High-level written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to multitask, plan and prioritize effectively.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to manage time and resources effectively.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Strong negotiation and influencing skills and Conflict resolution skills.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Computer literate with report writing skills.<\/p>\n<p>A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST<br \/>\n&#8211;
