Our scope of operation is in both the Public Service and Private Sector in the entire RSA, with our Head Office situated at SUCCESS MATAITSANE House, 17 Iris Street, Heatherdale, Akasia Pretoria, 0182. NUPSAW is admitted to the Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) and to major sectoral bargaining councils in the Public Service.<br \/>\nOur primary objective is to promote and protect the interests of our members, i.e. Workers First.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">VACANCY SENIOR ORGANISER &#8211; RECRUITMENT (12 Months Fixed Term Contract) At GAUTENG PROVINCIAL OFFICE (Tshwane)<br \/>\nSALARY: R272,052.00 P\/A, Union Vehicle, and Housing allowance<\/p>\n<p>MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:<br \/>\nTo recruit, organize, and provide an effective service to members on all Labour-related matters.<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESULT AREAS<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Recruitment of members with a target of a net growth of 50 members per month<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Establishing and maintaining worker structures in branches and institutions<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Prepare recruitment plans for approval by the Provincial Office Manager or Provincial Secretary.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Submit monthly reports on recruitment statistics<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ensure that Private sector employers submit remittance schedules to the office<br \/>\nmonthly for receipting<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Analyzing content of disputes and researching case laws and rulings to advice<br \/>\nmanagement and other Union officials of the development, application and interpretation of labour policies, procedures, and practices.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Run recruitment campaigns and events in the province<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to design and implement projects\/programmes in relation to the union.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ensure proper processing of cancellations is adhered to, to avoid double deductions.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Provide support to the Union<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Giving guidance and assistance to Organisers in the province<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Train Organisers and shop stewards on recruitment, run recruitment campaigns and events in the province<\/p>\n<p>INHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Labour Relations or equivalent qualification<br \/>\nwith a minimum of 3 to 5 years\u2019 experience in Labour Relations or Labour Law.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge and demonstrated interest in Trade Union movement, Bargaining Councils and dispute resolution bodies including CCMA.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge and understanding of relevant Labour Legislation and the application of case law.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge of collective agreements.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Strong organising skills.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Knowledge and experience in Trade Unions.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to cope with a demanding workload.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Flexibility to travel and work irregular and unfixed hours.<\/p>\n<p>COMPETENCIES:<br \/>\n\uf0b7 High-level written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to multitask, plan, and prioritize effectively.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ability to manage time and resources effectively.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and Conflict resolution skills<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Computer literate with report writing skills.<\/p>\n<p>SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST<br \/>\n\uf0d8 Keep abreast of the latest Labour Relations Developments.<br \/>\n\uf0d8 Be available on short notice<br \/>\n\uf0d8 Females are also encouraged to apply<br \/>\n\uf0d8 Be in possession of a valid driver\u2019s license.<br \/>\nDirections to Candidates:<br \/>\nApplicants should forward a letter of application, latest comprehensive CV and certified copies of qualifications, ID document and drivers license to:<br \/>\nThe General Secretary, National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW),: generalsecretary@nupsaw.co.za, or fax same to 086 667 8362<br \/>\nApplicants please note:<br \/>\n\uf0b7 NUPSAW reserves the right not to make the appointment.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 The interview process is guided by the principles and objectives of Employment Equity legislation.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for an interview.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 If you are not contacted within thirty (30) days of the closing date, kindly consider your application to be unsuccessful.<br \/>\n\uf0b7 NUPSAW will do criminal record and credit record checks before the appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline: 13 April 2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW) is a union established in August 1998 in terms of the Labor Relations Act, 1995.
