“There is no need to further negotiate the new taxation laws they should be scrapped’’, Success Mataitsane NUPSAW General Secretary.

Yesterday, Tuesday 16 February 2016; as NUPSAW, we had a meeting with Nedlac in Rosebank to do-away with the implementation of the New Taxation Laws Amendment Act 2015. It gives us great pleasure to inform our members that the new tax laws will not be implemented on 1 March 2016 as indicated in the Act. However, Nedlac has proposed further negotiations with regards to the new legislation; of which we oppose, we do not see the importance or necessity to further discuss this matter, it should be scrapped and allow workers to use their money as they see fit. We are also disappointed in the late changes by the meeting organisers which resulted to us not meeting with the Minister of Finance on Monday as initially arranged.
NUPSAW was by the workers and will always be for the workers!
