NUPSAW in Gauteng Invites members of the Media, Workers and the public to a Mass March to the office of the Premier.

The National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW) in Gauteng invites members of the media, workers, and the public at large to a mass march to the office of the Premier.  The contract workers across the Gauteng Department of Health (GDOH)- these include the EPWP worker, COVID-19 worker, EMS personnel, Community Health Workers, Interns, Nurses, and Doctors to protest against the ongoing exploitation, unfair labour practice, and the collapse of critical health services.

This action is motivated by the department of health’s serious neglect and systemic failure to provide job security, fill vacant posts, and address worsening conditions in the health care facilities. Workers under this department are understaffed despite high service demands and have reached a breaking point. As a mandate driven organized labour we are of the view that the department and the premier are turning a blind eye to the challenges that the workers are facing under the health department.

Workers and the media are invited to the march to be convened on the following details

Assembly point: Buyers Naude Square/ Library Gardens Johannesburg

Date: 19 November 2025

Time: 09H00 AM
